The Longfin Albino Corydoras is a captivating variant of the ever-popular Corydoras aeneus, selectively bred for its flowing, extended fins and striking pinkish-white body with red eyes. These peaceful bottom-dwellers are a staple of the community aquarium, endlessly busy sifting through the substrate in search of morsels — a charming and functional addition to any tank.

The longfin trait gives them an elegant, almost ethereal appearance as their fins billow gently in the current, making them a standout even in a well-stocked community setup.

  • Origin: Captive-bred (base species from South America)
  • Adult Size: ~6–7 cm
  • Temperament: Peaceful; best kept in groups of 6+
  • Water Parameters: pH 6.0–7.5 | Temp 22–26°C | Soft to moderately hard water
  • Diet: Omnivore — sinking pellets, wafers, frozen bloodworms, daphnia
  • Tank Size: Minimum 60L for a group

Best kept on fine sand substrate to protect their sensitive barbels. Thrives in groups and pairs beautifully with small tetras, rasboras, and peaceful dwarf cichlids. A hardy, beginner-friendly species that brings life and movement to the lower levels of the aquarium.

My first shipment of 4 LF albino cories was delayed by the Carrier and unfortunately did not survive. Speciate was very understanding and helpful over the next few days while we tracked the package with fingers crossed. All inquiries were met with immediate response. Arrangements were made to replace the shipment once it became evident it had been in transit too long. Definitely one of the very best customer services I have ever experienced. Thanks again for your help and kindness.

My shipment of LF Albino Corys arrived yesterday afternoon. This was a replacement for a shipment the carrier damaged in transit the previous week. The 4 fish are in great shape and actively snuffling around in their new home and interacting with my other bronze corys.
