The Koi Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) is one of the most visually striking variants of the classic freshwater angelfish, prized for its vivid orange, white, and black patterning reminiscent of a traditional koi pond fish. • Temperament: Semi-aggressive — best kept with similarly sized, peaceful tankmates
• Tank size: Minimum 75 L (20 gal), taller tanks preferred to accommodate their tall, disc-shaped body
• Water parameters: Temperature 24–28°C | pH 6.0–7.5 | Soft to moderately hard water
• Diet: Omnivore — accepts high-quality flake, pellet, frozen, and live foods
• Adult size: Up to 15 cm (6") body length; fins can extend significantly taller
